INFORMATION ABOUT SANDS

Sands was established as a charity in 1981 with two clear aims. The first to provide care and support for parents and families when their baby dies, before, during or soon after birth. To improve the quality of care and services bereaved families receive from health professionals following their baby's deaths. And now to promote research into why those babies die. BANFF Sands is one of a UK -wide network of local support groups and befrienders.
